About the Artist
Wally Lawder is a Kansan-born New Englander who now lives in New Jersey ("Hey--it's not all refineries and Turnpikes and chemical plants--I live in a fun, beautiful area!"). After many years playing in a wide variety of bands and groups he began writing his own music. "The singer-songwriter movement of the 90's really inspired me. I had been writing poetry for years and it was just a matter of fusing my two talents together. Once the light bulb went off, the whole process became very natural for me." He has a loyal following in the northeast and performs regularly. His band is diverse and extremely talented; besides the more expected bass, guitar, and drums, there is eclectic percussion, cello, keyboards, soprano sax, mandolin and accordion.
