About the Artist
Comprised of brothers Matt and Beau Humphreys, this Timmins, Ontario grown duo was formed in May of 1998 and continues to roar it's way into venues across Canada. After a move that brought the brothers to southern Ontario, Urban Folk emerged as one of the dominant Irish Pub acts, performing over 80 shows annually.
Album Description
This is Urban Folk's first full-length studio album. After the release of their 6-song EP in May of 2000, Urban Folk hit the studio to produce their sophomore offering, Scarlet Ground. This album contains 5 original songs penned by guitarist Matt Humphreys. The remaining tracks are traditional or cover songs arranged by Humphreys.
