About the Artist
Jim Lindsay is well placed to recreate this story in song. He was born and brought up in a troubled area in North Belfast but has lived for more than half his life in Sydney, Australia. His lifelong fascination however has been with his 'own' people - the Scots - Irish in the United States.
Album Description
Heartland is a superb album that tells the story in music and song of how the Scots-Irish moved from their homeland in Ulster, Northern Ireland, to conquer' America. The influence of these people was fundamental in making the country what it is today. Listening to this album is a most moving experience.
