Album Description
Alberta born Singer / Songwriter 3-fingered Guitarist Kevin Cook blends elements of traditional & contemporary roots, blues and world music into a greasy gumbo, which has been referred to as "industrial strength folk"

Notorious for his soulful ballads and rhythms, not to mention a wicked slide guitar, Kevin Cook has been a regular face in the regional folk circuit for some time now.

Recently, his collaborative efforts have mostly been with cellist Christine Hanson, who's performed with the tango trio Cafe Musique and Celtic duo Bonnie Lasses.

Cook was writing songs at the age of 16 with an acoustic guitar not long before he got into the club scene, so exploring the acoustic again for the last several years has meant getting back to his roots. Chance inspirations and personal experiences lend a somewhat confessional quality to some of his songs but the mature mold of his music has won him positive feedback from audiences across the country. Hear why.
