Johnny McConnell September 11 Suite

About the Artist
In 1979, Bob Kamm gained custody of his four-year-old son, Ben. By the end of 1981, he faced the unavoidable fact that pursuing a career as a performing artist was incompatible with single-fatherhood. He locked up his guitar and barely touched it for twenty years. During that time, he devoted himself to being the real and present father his son deserved. In mid-2001 his passion for music returned full force. Old songs were dusted off and found still worthy of affection. New songs emerged as well.
Album Description
When the events of September 11th, 2001 inspired the creation of the title song for this album, Bob felt an urgency to get back in the studio. The results are here for your enlightenment and pleasure...with more to come.. We felt there was some real value in sharing with our audience what Bob was about as a younger singer-songwriter. The continuity with his more recent work is striking, as is his growth.
