Editorial Reviews "Eddie's Car" tells the story of a man confronting his own bigotry during the Jim Crow era. "Arrows in the Wind," is a heart-wrenching tale of a Civil War soldier who returns home to find the life he knew isn't there anymore. While he considers himself primarily a folk artist, Jim isn't averse to traveling off in different directions. In "Patch of Leather," Jim gives us a taste of jazz with a song that should only be sung in a smoke engulfed seedy room with sticky floors. "There Was a Time," gives the listener a peek at Jim's funky side. This collection of songs will warm your heart, break your heart, and give you a few things to think about.
