Editorial Reviews
Nicki De, Victory Music Review, Vol 23, No.11, Nov.98
"Who'd of thought the combination of Celtic, Medieval and Appalachian tradition could evoke such emotion? McCauley did and has been formally schooled in each. As a teenager her family moved to the Tennessee mountains where she took her early classical piano lessons a few steps further. We are now lucky enough to include her as a Pacific Northwest musician where she has been sharing her contemplative music with us for the past sixteen years. The sound is soothing and spiritual, the voice is heart provoking without being syrupy. The mood is a sabbath day, anyone's sabbath day, and whether original or personalized arrangements, the songs are intricately unique enough to keep us listening. Other musicians are: Phil Heaven, David J. MacVittie, Frank Olsen, Larry Knechtel, Paul Englesberg, Frank Jackson, Jud Sherwood and Kurt Scherer. Together they have created an album perfect for a misty Fall morning or any restful afternoon." Lyric sheet.
