Album Description
Produced by Denise Wolda, engineered by Tim C. Palmer and recorded in Ann Mortifee’s studio on Cortes Island, this album features the rich and powerful harmonies of Denise Wolda, and Ann Mortifee, as well as Mikael Hospes, Denise’s daughter. Instrumentation includes guitar, bass, flute, whistle, saxophone, keyboards, didjeridu, djembe, and cello. The cello is a Wolda family heirloom and was made in Paris France in 1749. The raven and songbirds, who introduce and close the album, reside in Tiber Bay, Denise’s home. “To Honour Joy” is a multi-media CD. A slide show by photographer, Irene Blueth, enhances the sound track “Feel The Island” and a candid, comic, Quicktime™ video of the artists recording “High Flyin’ Fly”, by Richard Trueman, are included for those people with a computer. Worth the wait, “To Honour Joy” does just that, and the songs instill hope at a time when hope is needed most!
