This is a published set of "sonate da chiesa" or "church sonatas" (instrumental music for liturgical use) in three voices (violin, cello and harpsichord) by P.B. Bellinzani (1680-1757), a composer little-known today but in his time known all over Italy for the quantity and quality of his works. He was noted for his exceptional creativity and originality in both sacred and secular works.
