Album Description
Livia Rév is a world-renowned Hungarian pianist. She was 84 years old when she gave this recital in Williamstown, Massachusetts on July 11, 2000. The artist is well-known by piano enthusiasts and record collectors and this, her most recent CD, is also her first in more than ten years. Magnificent live performances of three classic masterpieces are captured, in very good natural sound. A child prodigy, Livia Rév went on to become an international concert artist, performing under conductors such as Boult, Horenstein, Jochum, Krips, Kubelik and Schmidt-Isserstedt. She made her New York debut in 1963.
