CURIOSITIES OF SALZBURG: Juvavum Brass
Editorial Reviews Juvavum Brass The Juvavum Brass Ensemble, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2004, combed the libraries of Mozart's birthplace in search of forgotten or seldom performed works from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. The choices they have made produced aa interesting and varied program. When making their choices they took full account the fact that the pieces recorded here were not originally for brass, but for entirely different instruments with one exception (solo in the Michael Haydn March), but needed to suited for brass instruments. As a result, this recording offers seldom heard and unknown works together with some new additions to the brass liturature.
