Nancy Yuen is most well known for her potrayal of Puccini heroines like Liu and Butterfly, but in this debut collection with the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra under Somtow Sucharitkul, she really shows the depth of her talent, beginning with a stunning interpretation of Strauss's FOUR LAST SONGS. The album includes bits of both Liu and Butterfly, traditional Chinese songs, two arias from Somtow's MAE NAAK, a role which she created with the Bangkok Opera, and arias by Mozart and Verdi.
