Editorial Reviews Susan has received competitive performance awards from the Metropolitan Opera; George London, Leonard Warren and Baltimore Opera Competitions; Liederkranz Foundation, and the American Opera Association. She is the Director of Performance at Hunter College. Susan earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice, Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. Marcia Eckert holds degrees in Piano Performance from Indiana University and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Active as a piano soloist and collaborative artist, she has appeared in the Mostly Mozart Festival as well as at New York's Merkin, Alice Tully, and Weill concert halls and London's Leighton House. Marcia has traveled throughout the United States presenting lecture-recitals and serves on the keyboard faculties of Hunter College and the Mannes College of Music in New York. Album Description
Susan Gonzalez has enjoyed an active career in both opera and concert repertoire. Appearances include solo performances at many of America's premiere concert halls, including New York's Avery Fisher Hall with the National Symphony, and Carnegie Hall with the American Composers Orchestra, where she also sang numerous oratorio performances of works by Fauré, Brahms, Schubert and Mozart. She has also performed with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony, Annapolis Symphony and the Mozart Players. Gonzalez's opera credits include leading roles with the Lyric Opera of Chicago at Grant Park, Chicago Opera Theater, and New Orleans Opera. Her international credits include debuts with the Bolshoi Opera in Cheboksary, Nishny Novgorod and Yoshkar-Ola, Russia.
