Vivaldi: Sonate e Concerti per flauto traverso
Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The modern flute (originally called the German or transverse flute to distinguish it from its ancestor, the recorder) came into use in the early part of the 18th century. Antonio Vivaldi was one of the first important composers to write good music for this instrument, and in the case of Rv533, he created the very first concerto for two flutes and orchestra.
