Editorial Reviews
The Arlington Catholic Herald
The unique aspect of Scimone's CD is that it contains original recordings of traditional-style sacred music as well as original arrangements of familiar music. The debut original track, written and arranged by Scimone, is "Thy Heart Immaculate," a prayer to the Blessed Mother sung in Scimone's clear, operatic voice. All songs are masterfully supported by the piano, organ or violin.
Album Description
Ora Pro Nobis is a collection of familiar traditional hymns and chants, as well as new compositions in the traditional style. While this music appeals to the listener seeking to elevate a spiritual awareness, there is a universal accessibility to this CD; listeners frequently remark upon the "sense of peace" from this performance. This full-length, professionally recorded and beautifully performed collection is arranged for soprano, violin and piano. All three artists have performed extensively with symphonies, concert series and festivals both in the U.S. and Europe.
