Album Description
Peter Elyakim Taussig was one of Canada’s most acclaimed concert pianists before he lost the use of his right hand to injury. Undaunted, Taussig with the help of the Yamaha Corporation of America developed a revolutionary technique - Musical Sculpting, that allows him to record with his left hand alone using a computer controlled concert grand piano, the Disklavier DCFIIIS. The concept was inspired by Taussig’s friend and mentor, the late Glenn Gould. The first book of J.S.Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier follows an earlier release of The Art of the Fugue on the Pilgrim Records label.
