This Recording was Made under the Direction of Pavel Kuhn and was Recorded in the Dvorak Hall, Rudolfinum,prague in 1998. Financial Support was Provided by the Birmingham Conservatoire and Lynwood Music. Andrew Downes' Sonata for Eight Horns is a Piece in Five Movements,the Main Ideas of Each Are Organically Derived from Each Other. Beethovens' Egmont is an Arrangement for Eight Horns and Tuba by the Late Alan Civil,virtuoso Horn Soloist and Principal Horn in the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Danielsson's Concertant Suite was Composed in the 1970's and is Highly Inventive Within a Basically Neo - Classical Style. Finally,feld's Cassation for Eight Horns is a Vivid and Joyful Virtuoso Piece Conceived for Two Horn Quartets in Mutual Juxtaposition.
