Album Description
Nicolas Prost has always considered the saxophone a solo instrument, because of its warm and penetrating sound qualities. His successes include a prestigious 1st Prize and post-graduate distinction from the Paris Conservatoire. He is currently sponsored by the Yamaha foundation. He has won First Prize in several international competitions as well.

His first CD received a 5 star rating from Diapason magazine. He has made regular appearances as a soloist both in France and abroad, including performances with the Mexico State Orchestra, the Ausburg Camerata, EC of Montreal, European Camerata of London, Musiciens de la Pree of Paris, and the Philharmonic of Limoges.

In 1995, Nicolas Prost was appointed as principal saxophone in the prestigious Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux, directed by Yutaka Sado. In addition to his solo engagements, he is an active chamber musician, as a member of the Emphasis saxophone quartet, and the new Saxiana Trio.

Currently, he is professor of saxophone at Saint-Germain en Laye Conservatory near Paris, and the author of numerous teaching methods. He is the founder of the Interregional Saxophone Fstival, and Director of the 1st International Competition in Limoges
