Mozart: Piano Concertos Vol. 1
Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The first volume in a project to record the complete Mozart piano concertos with Jeremy Menuhin leading the English Symphony Orchestra from the piano! Recorded at Wyastone following performances during the summer series of concerts. Jeremy Menuhin, son of the famous violin virtuoso Yehudi Menuhin, has made a major career as a concert pianist quite on his own merits. He made his New York debut as winner of the Young Concert Artists Piano Competition in 1984, and soon after gave the first in a number of concerts with the Berlin Philharmonic. His recording of Bartoks Sonatas for Violin and Piano with his father was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque.
