The ReachDSL solution brings reliable, low-cost broadband access to markets previously unreachable by traditional DSL services.The Hotwire 8355 ReachDSL Line Card accepts 24 subscriber lines coming in from a Telco connector at the rear of either the 8620 or 8820 GranDSLAM system, which provides an ATM aggregation for backhaul connection onto the service provider's network. The 8355 Line Card provides solutions for both asymmetric (residential) and symmetric (business) applications, and it is designed and built for industry-standard NEBS compliance. The 8355 Line Card supports the 6390 Bridged Endpoint, as well as third party endpoints that use the new ADSL/R chipset. With a total power consumption of less than one watt per port, the 8355 Line Card provides an efficient high-density, low-power solution that is ideal for use in the central office.
