The 8810 is a MultiServices digital subscriber line multiplexer (DSLAM). The chassis is powered from external -48 source. The chassis can be wired for redundant power operation. The 8810 multiservice capability provides support for IP packet frame relay or nx64 services. The 8810 DSLAM is manageable using Paradyne's DCE element management system. The hotwire 8810 supports a number of IP features critical to isp operation such as DHCP relay for dynamic address allocation dynamic address control through IP source address filters and subscriber authentication for individual user security through the use of secure DHCP XTACACS server or Radius server.
