The 5001 is the first Excite@Home Level 2 approved PCI CableModem to meet the rigorous interoperability requirements of the @Home network. The @Home network consists of over 3.2 million cable mode subscribers representing nearly 60% domestic cable service. The 5001 is Zooms lowest cost DOCSIS standard based cable modem. It is easily installed in any computer with an available PCI slot. Direct interface with the bus of the PC eliminates the support problems that can result from faulty cable connectors on external modems. CableLabs certified. Zoom CableModem PCI has also earned the first production model Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) approval.
