The Hawking 10/100 Broadband DSL/Cable SOHO Router (model PN9225) provides a cost-effective means of sharing a high-speed DSL/Cable connection with your LAN (Local Area Network) for simultaneous Internet access. The PN9225 works along with your existing DSL/cable modem to provide the perfect solution for connecting a group of PCs to a high-speed Broadband Internet. Instantly build a broadband Network. Using a single ISP user account, this Internet gateway allows multiple computers to share the same broadband Internet connection at no additional cost. More specifically, up to 254 users can simultaneously access the Broadband DSL/Cable Internet using just a single IP account. The 9225 only requires one ISP account and one Internet address (supplied by your DSL/Cable provider) to allow every computer on your network to simultaneously access the Internet through your DSL/Cable modem. The Hawking 10/100 Broadband DSL/Cable SOHO Router is packed with features. It utilizes Dynamic NAT (Network Address Translation) to expand your existing network without affecting existing IP based account schemes. It supports visible computer and virtual server settings to allow you to host and remotely access Web, Email and FTP servers. A natural firewall is created that hides your network from the outside world by sitting between your DSL/Cable modem and your network to help protect against outside intruders. And that is not all. The PN9225 has a built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). It utilizes DHCP Server for your LAN and DHCP Client for your WAN. Therefore, there is no need to configure each IP address. Managing the PN9225 is simple as well. The Windows-based Web management makes it easy to configure from anywhere using any networked PC's web browser. This Broadband DSL/Cable Router can also be easily firmware upgraded using your Telnet or TFTP connection. Furthermore, it can be connected to any 10M or 100M network.
