The Hayes ADSL Ethernet/USB Gateway is a full rate ADSL modem incorporating an LSI chip set; it includes a router with concurrent access for up to 253 users along with advanced firewall security. Both Ethernet and USB ports are available on this model. Ethernet port operation is compatible with any personal computer operating system that supports TCP/IP (Windows Macintosh Linux and others). USB port operation is compatible with any personal computer with a USB port and Windows 98SE ME 2000 or XP. Security features include Network Address Translation and Stateful Packet Inspection for protection against Internet Worms and Denial of Service Attacks. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is also supported for remote maintenance and network administration.
