The SMC7003ADSL dual-port bridge router brings instant voice, data, and video access to your desktop up to 150 times faster than a 56k modem. This SMC7003ADSL is a full router and bridge that scales as the network expands. The flexibility derived from Ethernet and USB ports enables simultaneous sharing of the ADSL line and local resources. It also functions as a home gateway which allows for simultaneous Internet access for up to 253 users. This flexibility allows multiple PCs to share office resources, access the Internet simultaneously, and keep network users connected at all times.The modem also supports both full-rate DMT connection (with 8 Mbps downstream and 640 Kbps upstream), and the more economical G.lite connection (with 1.5 Mbps downstream and 512 Kbps upstream). Incorporated firewall technology protects internal networks from outside intruders and hackers. Plug-and-play installation allows instant connection. Remote management capabilities and firmware upgrades provide increased convenience and protection of your investment as your networking needs evolve.
