The FlowPoint Router assigns network addresses to LAN-attached workstations without user intervention using the built-in Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. The IP address assignment is automatically handled through PPP or DHCP requests over the DSL link. The FlowPoint 2200 uses a fast 33 Mhz Motorola MPC850 processor and has plenty of memory to support the FlowPoint Secure VPN and Firewall option.
