The WP251 Wireless LAN PCI Card with high power external antenna is designed to connect your Desktop computer to a Wireless LAN. It can work with Ad-Hoc (Peer to Peer) and Infrastructure (Access Point) Wireless LAN configurations. The WP251 is compliant with IEEE 802.11b standard and can work with a multi-vendor Wireless LAN platform.The Hawking WP251 Wireless LAN PCI Card delivers network speeds up to 11Mbps�. five times faster than previous wireless LAN products. Using dynamic rate shifting to create a reliable connection, each wireless adapter supports up to 32 simultaneous users at a distance of up to 1000ft (300m) for outdoor use and 328ft (100m) for indoor use. It also features Wires Equivalent Privacy (WEP) -compliant data encryption using encryption keys, MAC Address Control and user authentication to ensure a fast, reliable and secure network connection.
