The D-Link DSB-500 is a 2-port Universal Serial Bus USB PCI controller. It allows connection of up to 2 USB peripherals, devices, or USB hubs to a Windows 95 OSR2 or Windows 98 PC. The DSB-500 is targeted at users with older PCs that have no integrated USB support, and users with newer PCs who wish to add additional USB ports. The DSB-500 provides two type 'A' downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals and USB hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the DSB-500 operates in accordance with Intel's UniversalHCI specification. The DSB-500 provides up to 500mA of current to any attached USB peripheral, device or USB Hub. This function allows any bus-powered devices to operate without the need of an external power adapter. The DSB-500 is packaged with all necessary manuals and is a true plug and play device to ensure an easy and quick installation.
