The Gigabit Ethernet server card DGE-500SX from D-Link allows a 1000 Mbit high-speed connection to be made, for example from a server to a Gigabit Ethernet-capable switch. The card has a Gigabit Ethernet multimode interface. The chip set includes a Gigabit Ethernet media access controller with an extensive package buffer. The front panel has LEDs for link, speed, full/half duplex and activity for user monitoring and therefore provides information on the port status at all times.
