The D-Link DP-301 print server provides an auto-sensing dual-speed 10/100 Mbps port, allowing flexible attachment to either a 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX network. This LAN port automatically detects the connected type of network and adjusts the speed accordingly, completely without any need for users to intervene. The DP-301 print server is designed for the SOHO networks or for sites with printers scattered in different places. It provides a single high-speed parallel port. This lower-cost print server avoids the waste of any unused port. A simple-to-operate GUI under Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT makes it possible to set up the print server in a matter of minutes. Telnet support means that the administrator can also configure and maintain the print server from any station on a Unix or TCP/IP network. The parallel ports support HP PJL protocol for bi-directional network printer communication, proactively providing the administrator with critical information about the network.
