The D-Link DHN-910 10Mb Home Phoneline Network in a Box is a HomePNA 2.0 compliant local area network that provides a very easy to install method of connecting two or more PC's together. This network technology allows the user to connect the PC directly to the RJ-11 Phoneline and is targeted at home users with two or more PCs. Based on HomePNA2.0, these adapters are up to ten times faster than older HomePNA1.0 based solutions, but still allow backwards compatibility with these older solutions.The DHN-910 provides access through the premises distribution system (home phone system) with a standard RJ-11 interface. It is designed to share Internet Access, printers, drives, and files through their existing phonelines without having to install hubs or other external devices. Cable Modem or DSL Broadband Internet access sharing and multi- player network gaming can benefit from its high-speed 10Mbps throughput. The kit includes two PCI HomePNA 2.0 Adapters, two 15-ft. phoneline cables, two installation guides, a CD containing Adapter drivers, additional documentation and Internet Sharing (Proxy Server) software and CD containing multi-player games. Each HomeNet PCI adapter has two RJ-11 ports. The RJ-11s can be used to daisy-chain multiple HomePNA adapters together using home phonelines.
