This high performance dual speed hub features 24 10/100 Mbps dedicated bandwidth ports. Compared to traditional dual speed hubs which force users to share the available bandwidth channels of 10Mbps or 100Mbps, the high performance EZ Hub 10/100 provides dedicated 10 or 100 Mbps channels to every device connected to it. By featuring 24 separate data segments, (one for each port), the EZ Hub 10/100 effectively gives each attached device up to 100Mbps of available bandwidth resulting in unparalleled performance with the resulting higher network performance. Due to its design, the traditional rules that used to limit the number of Fast Ethernet hubs that could be cascaded or daisy-chained do not apply. Likewise the EZ Hub 10/100 is not bound by the distance restrictions that limit the distance between two Fast Ethernet Hubs. This will serve to simplify the design process as there will be one less factor to consider and one less thing to go wrong. Data reliability within the network is ensured with a pair of advanced features. Firstly the "Store and Forward" engine will check and, if necessary correct any enormous data packets and secondly, the "Back pressure flow control" which monitors data surges and moderates it if necessary. With an internal bandwidth of up to 1.2Gps, SMC's "at-a-glance" LED monitoring and a price comparable to traditional dual speed hubs.
