Kingston's EtheRx 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet switch is a high-performance, rack-mountable switching hub ideal for the small-to-medium business. Model KNS800 provides automatic switching between 10Mbps and 100Mbps operation. The KNS800 has eight 10/100BASE-TX UTP ports that auto-negotiate 10/100Mbps operation, thus allowing standard Ethernet networks to communicate with Fast Ethernet networks, and to segment both 10Mbps and 100Mbps networks. This model supports collision-based flow control and uses the Store-and-Forward switching approach to minimize on the re-transmission of faulty packets and provides dedicated service and guaranteed bandwidth for both 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments. The KNS800 complies with IEEE802.3u 100BASE-TX, IEEE802.3i 10BASE-T, and IEEE802.3 CSMA/CD standards.
