Asante's unique EDF (Efficient Data Flow) technology automatically minimizes switch overhead to prevent communication delays between ports, for time-sensitive applications such as video and multimedia. This consistency and low latency is achieved by complete overlapping of the data transfer and bus arbitration time slots in the switching engine, combined with 64-bit cell bus switching fabric. The FriendlyNET 4000E switches support full-duplex operation on all ports when possible-for delivering high-speed connectivity to networks, power users and high-speed servers. Now installation and configuration of your network devices is simple, with NWay auto-negotiation. This dynamic feature automatically detects and configures 10 or 100Mbps operation to insure you are achieving optimum speed.
