ADDTRON's AES-1002 is an ingenious compact and palm-size 10/100Mbps switching hub. The AES-1002 is equipped with 2 RJ-45 Ethernet/Fast Ethernet auto-negotiation ports on the front panel. Furthermore, two additional uplink ports supply for connecting to the desktop/workgroup hub by using the straight-through cable. ADDTRON applies the store-and-forward method of forwarding packets. The advantage of this method is that the switch completely stores the incoming frame in an internal buffer before sending it out. In addition, the AES-1002 also provides 10/100Mbps Nway auto-negotiation function. Such kind of robust design can raise the aggregate bandwidth up to 200Mbps.ADDTRON's AES-1002 offers two dip switches on the real panel. One of the two dip switches is applied to adjust the operation mode (full-duplex or half-duplex), the other is applied to enable or disable the flow control. With palm-size design, the switching hub AES-1002 can be easily settled on a desk or mounted on a rack in a wiring closet by using the supplied mounting ears, bringing the most efficiency to you.
