XpressNet 5-port and 8-port 10/100Mbps Dual Speed Hubs comply with the IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet standards. This hub is 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Class II repeater designed for networks using Category 3 or Category 5 UTP cables. Since the hub is equipped with dual speed UTP ports, you may connect either 10Mbps or 100Mbps stations. The hubs also provide easy network expansion through an Uplink port at the front panel, which allows hub-to-hub or hub-to- switch connection.XpressNet 5-port and 8-port 10/100Mbps Dual Speed Hubs provide the N-Way auto-negotiation function. Once attached to a network, the hub can negotiate the type of transmission speed, 10Mbps or 100Mbps, between two connecting devices. For network diagnostic and management, LEDs are provided to show Global Power and Collision status as well as Individual Speed, Partition and Link/Activity status.
