MiLAN's MIL-S501 series unmanaged switches are the ideal way to alleviate network bottlenecks in workgroup environments. Combining copper and fiber ports in the same chassis provides an inexpensive solution for segmenting LANs or easily interconnecting between buildings in a campus or industrial environment. Each switch operates at wire speed with automatic MAC address learning and aging, requiring no user configuration. All ports running at 100 Mbps are capable of operating in either half or full duplex mode, providing 200 Mbps of bandwidth for end users. Flow control minimizes packet loss while all copper ports autonegotiate for speed, making it easy and simple to connect in to a wide range of networks.
