The HP ProCurve Switch 212M is an economical solution for providing 12 ports of dedicated 10Mbps Ethernet switching performance to the desktop, with two 10/100Mbps fat pipes for high-speed connection to a server or network center, and HP Proactive Networking for maximum control, uptime and performance. The HP ProCurve Switch 212M is ideal for low-cost dedicated 10Mbps desktop switching for smaller groups of users, and as a top-of-stack switch for 10Base-T hubs.Its Port mirroring lets you monitor the entire network with a RMON probe on only one port and the IP multicast (IGMP) software it comes standard with prevents flooding of multicast video traffic and supports QoS for IP multicast traffic. It also has a Web interface that lets you monitor your whole network at once up to 1,500 segments from any PC on the network with a Web browser.
