The universal media converter, the AT-MC12T, provides connection between unshielded twisted pair media and a female Attachment Unit Interface (AUI) with slide latch. Any Ethernet transceiver with a standard male AUI interface can thus be connected and locked to the AT-MC12T through the AUI interface to provide media conversion between unshielded twisted pair and the other media of the transceiver. The various combinations of the AT-MC12T with an Allied Telesyn transceiver are defined as product kits to provide the user with a conversion from twisted pair to the appropriate media desired.This media converter comes with MX-10 transceiver and converts UTP to 10BASE2.
