ADDTRON'S AEF-100 Series of Fast Ethernet mini-transceivers are lightweight external devices that plug directly into a user's DTE (MII) port. The transceivers are designed for use in a Fast Ethernet environment that provides users flexibility, full compatibility with IEEE802.3u Fast Ethernet standard, and a smooth media conversion through UTP or fiber.ADDTRON'S AEF-100 Series consists of three different models: AEF-100MT, AEF-100MF-SC, and AEF-100MF-ST. While the AEF-100MT is a MII to 100Base-TX transceiver, the AEF-100MF-SC and AEF-100MF-ST come with a fiber SC and a fiber ST connector respectively.The transceivers feature Power/100M, Link, FDX, TX, RX, and Collision indicators to aid in network diagnostics and management functions. The FDX LED shows the mode status of the transceiver and TX/RX LED shows the data transmitting/receiving status. The AEF-100 series offers automatic correction and unique polarity detection/indication to enhance the units' performance and make them more user friendly.
