Allied Telesyn International's Fast Ethernet Transceivers provide a simple network connection between a standard forty pin Media Independent Interface (MII) and any standard Fast Ethernet cable. Primary use of these transceivers is in providing additional media options to Fast Ethernet hubs, switches, bridges and routers equipped with a standard MII. Adhering strictly to IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet standards and constructed using the highest quality materials, these inexpensive 100Base-FX transceivers provide secure, reliable and convenient network connections.The AT-MX500FST transceivers provide IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet connections between multi mode fiber optic network cable and an MII. Using either fiber SC or fiber ST (bayonet type) connectors, these transceivers connect devices up to 412 meters apart. The AT-MX500FST transceivers support 100Mb/s network speeds and operate in both half- and full-duplex modes. When Fast Ethernet hubs and switches must be connected over long distances not supported by UTP, these fiber optic transceivers provide the ideal solution.
