Addtron ET-10X series of Ethernet mini-transceivers is a family of compact, lightweight external devices that plug directly to the user DTE (AUI port). The ET-10X series offer users flexibility, complete compatibility and reliability to PC networks by allowing media conversion between a thick Ethernet network and either thin coax, UTP or a fiber optic network. Compatibility and user flexibility is assured with three different media models to select from. The thin coaxial model ET-10C1B (BNC with T-connection); one unshielded twisted pair model ET-10T1B (RJ-45) and the fiber-optic model ET-10FL (10Base-FL for 2K meter) network environments.In addition to a full complement of diagnostic LED indicators, Addtron's mini-transceivers incorporate a unique capability to detect the polarity of the incoming 10Base-T received data link and if incorrect, it will automatically correct itself internally. Signal Quality Error (SQE) function is a user selectable by means of a simple DIP switch allowing the user to accommodate a wide variety of differing network configurations.
