The Full/Half Duplex 100BASE-TX Transceiver provides low cost and high performance network migration options.It supports 100BASE-TX segments up to 330 feet over Fast Ethernet and connects MII nodes via a RJ-45 connector to a 100BASE-TX medium in both full and half-duplex modes. The ability to operate in full-duplex mode allows for operation between switches and routers using full-duplex Fast Ethernet. The RJ-45 ports have the ability to auto-negotiate: either UTP port may connect to any Ethernet or Fast Ethernet compliant device. Transition Networks' use of IEEE 802.3u auto-negotiation supports this connection without further configuring jumpers or switches.
