The CFX-820P is designed for the user needing a low-cost method of running a single line of fiber optic cable within their 100 Mbps network. Canary has developed the CFX-820P to operate at 820 nm (850 nm) over 62.5/125 fiber optic cabling. The 820P has a range of 700 m making it ideal for spanning streets, multiple floors in buildings, or linking workstations across heavy EMI (electro-magnetic interference) areas, such as factories or mills. The CFX-820P must be used with other 820 nm equipped devices, such as Canary's CFT-820P converter or a CCM-820P converter module.
