The LANCAST 6200 transceivers provide high performance connectivity between MII devices and 100 Mbps fiber optic or 10/100 Mbps twisted pair networks. A four position DIP switch expands the configuration capability by providing selection of speed, full or half-duplex operation and PHY address. The compact units attach in the narrowest of spaces without interfering with other interfaces. A full complement of five integral LEDs provide indication of normal operation and network diagnostics. As a further aide to network diagnostics, the transceiver can also be configured for a loopback mode through the MDIO interface. These standards-based transceivers are compatible with Fast Ethernet devices from other network technology providers ensuring high-throughput performance in multi-vendor environments.The 6221-02 is 100BASE-FX multimode transceiver with ST and MII connectors.
