Cables To Go presents these office-style Ethernet drop cables are the ultimate in price and performance. The Ethernet transceiver cable usually connects a transceiver (connected to the Thicknet backbone) directly to a workstation or hub. These cables feature DB15 connectors equipped with special latching mechanisms seen only in a latch post and slide lock application. Together the latch post and slide lock form a dependable physical connection between cable and hardware. This cable is sometimes called an AUI cable because it connects to the attachment unit interface (AUI) on an Ethernet network interface card. Office-style AUI cables are known for their high level of flexibility, making them easy to install in any office environment. The recommended length of an office style cable is limited to 41 feet.
