The Actiontec 11 Mbps Wireless Access Point provides the freedom of secure, wireless connectivity without sacrificing the speed of wired networking. It can be used to setup a simple all-wireless network or a wireless extension of your wired Ethernet network. Home and office users can create fast, flexible, secure networks without the expense or hassle needed to install wires or cabling. The Access Point offers speeds up to 11 Mbps rivaling most Ethernet LAN installations. An onboard antenna maximizes the operating range to provide connectivity at up to 300 feet indoors. The Access Point works with all 10 Base-T and 100 Base-Tx networks using a standard category 5 Ethernet cable. After connecting it to an open network port, configuration is simplified by using any standard Web browser. The Actiontec 11 Mbps Wireless Access Point is secure, offering both standard and advanced encryption. It supports both the WEP 40-bit standard and the more advanced RC4 128-bit standard for complete data security. In addition to data encryption, you can setup an access control list so that only authorized users can join the network. The unit's administration utilities and settings can be password protected. The 11 Mbps Wireless Access Point is Wi-Fi certified with WECA to ensure full compatibility with the more than 260 other Wi-Fi certified products that use Wi-Fi (802.11b). The Access Point supports advanced networking and management features, including DHCP client, SNMP, and roaming. The Actiontec 11 Mbps Wireless Access Point makes it easy to wirelessly extend an Ethernet network providing wireless access to multiple users.
