This book is the fave common ground for my 5yo reluctant reader son and 9yo girlie girl daughter. They love the different characters -- especially weird juxtapositions like when tiny warrior Pheef is swearing blood vengeance but Emily just thinks he's cute cute cute. Why aren't there more like this?

5 out of 5 stars This ain't yer brother's comic book, fan boy........2006-06-20

One of Slave Labor Graphic's more upbeat turnouts. A fun read that's good for both adults and kids. It almost seems a bit like an American version of Project A-ko, only instead of fighting over the young C-Ko, it's a lemonade stand the girls are fighting with giant robots over! And a one-sided fight for a boy. Romance! Robots! Evil alien warlords! What more could a girl ask for? A pony!!!!!! Definitely recommended, especially if you are looking for something different than your run of the mill superheroine sandwiched into a thong bikini (seriously, I can barely walk with one of those things on. How do they fight in them?)

5 out of 5 stars A rollicking good "comic book style" read for children.......2004-09-13

Emily is a little girl with a lemonade stand, a giant robot named Juicer, and a desire to own a pony. But apparently that lemonade stand is on one of the most prized pieces of real estate in the universe! Aliens are invading the earth and Emily is the only person who can defeat them! The collaborative effort of Ian and Tyson Smith, Emily & The Intergalactic Lemonade Stand is a rollicking good "comic book style" read for children, especially grades 2 through 5.
