Get 33MB per second data transfers from your Ultra ATA/33 hard drive with SIIG's Easy UltraIDE Pro PCI drive controller. Ultra ATA/33 support offers up to 100% improved performance for Ultra ATA/33 hard drives and up to 30% better performance with EIDE/Fast ATA drives. Improved data transfers means PCs need less time to boot their operating systems and open applications since more data can be passed to the host computer in less time. The Easy UltraIDE Pro allows you to connect up to four Ultra ATA/33, EIDE/Fast ATA, and IDE drives up to 8.4GB as well as ATAPI devices such as CD-ROM drives through its two IDE 40-pin connectors. The Ultra IDE Pro enhances data integrity through Cyclical Redundancy Check (CRC) and coexists with on-board EIDE controllers. The card has no BIOS on board so it must work with an existing bootable IDE controller. It supports Ultra DMA mode 0, 1, 2 and PIO mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and conforms to PCI 2.1 Plug and Play specifications.
