HP NetRAID is a high-performance, intelligent PCI-to-SCSI host adapter with RAID control capabilities. Three SCSI channels are available on the HP NetRAID adapter. Each channel supports Fast-and-Wide SCSI (at data transfer rates up to 20 MB/sec per channel) and Ultra Wide SCSI (at data transfer rates up to 40 MB/sec per channel). The HP NetRAID adapter is shipped with Ultra SCSI support disabled. Use Ultra SCSI for internal devices only, with the correct cables, and with drives that are capable of supporting Ultra SCSI. Refer to your system documentation to determine whether your system can support Ultra SCSI and whether it has the necessary cables. There are no special instructions for the physical installation of the adapter cards. They plug into a PCI bus slot of the NetServer.
